GENEVA — Beginning in May, Orange Switzerland will allow its mobile users with Yellow accounts to recharge their Orange pre-paid accounts at any Swiss ATM with their Postcards.
Using this service, Orange accounts holders will no longer be obliged to purchase pre-paid cards every time they recharge their account, according to a DMeurope report.
Customers will feed recharge cards into ATMs just like a normal credit card. They key in and pay the desired amount, then receive an SMS confirmation detailing their recharge amount and pre-paid account status. To ensure accuracy in this transaction, users will be asked to identify themselves with their mobile phone numbers when they first use the recharge card.
The service will be available at more than 2,000 post offices and more than 650 train stations.
