Cyphermint Inc. is revving up its kiosk business after being selected as a vendor for a pilot project with AAA and the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA).
The automobile clubs chose Marlborough, Mass.-based Cyphermint to deploy interactive kiosks in select branch locations. The kiosks will give access to the popular TripTiks (AAA's online driving directions for members) and allow members to view and update account status, or to renew membership.
Users will also be able to make reservations for hotels, airlines and car rentals.
Cyphermint CEO Joseph Barboza said Cyphermint is up to the task. "Our complete turnkey kiosk integration solutions will prove essential in conducting a successful pilot launch and ultimately full implementation," Barboza said in a release.
Automobile club spokesman Ron Morehead added, "This interactive kiosk will provide our members localized information, and products and services currently only available through the affiliated club Internet sites."
