MADRID -- Radiant Systems has established a subsidiary, Radiant Systems Retail Solutions, S.L., in Madrid to expand its opportunities in Spain and increase resources to support current customers in the region.
Radiant has been active in the Spanish market for a number of years with solutions for the hospitality and petroleum/convenience retail markets. Now, Radiant is increasing its permanent presence in the region, assigning four employees for hospitality sales and support to the new office, according to a news release.
"Radiant is committed to European expansion," said Manny Negreiro, president of the Radiant Hospitality division, in the release. "Madrid has a large pool of talented technology professionals and is centrally located in the EMEA region. It provides an excellent location from which to provide technical and sales support to our regional resellers and customers."
Mark Schoen, president of the Radiant Petroleum and Convenience Retail division, added, "Spain is a dynamic market for the petroleum sector. There have been a lot of sales and exchanges of sites among petroleum retailers, and fuel margins have been reasonable compared with much of the rest of Europe."
The Radiant office in Madrid is shared with Restasoft, the company's largest reseller in Europe and its master reseller for the Spanish hospitality market.
