AUSTIN, Texas -- Touch International Corp., manufacturer of touch technology, has signed a distribution agreement with Edge Electronics Inc. to distribute its line of touch sensors and controllers in the U.S. and Mexico, expanding its reach into the U.S. display market and opening up the South American market.
The partnership was completed as part of Touch International's plan to rapidly expand its global sales channels, which will help support the growing market demand for the company's touch components, according to a news release.
Edge Electronics, headquartered in Bohemia, N.Y., and with offices in Mexico, is a franchised distributor of both commercial and military electronic components for display technologies.
Touch International develops high-quality touchscreen components for original equipment manufacturers and systems integrators who offer touch technology to markets such as kiosk, industrial automation, retail point-of-sale and consumer-based products such as personal digital assistants and mobile phones.
