• C-store operator to discuss kiosks during online seminar

ATLANTA -- Despite the challenges of unprecedented competition, more complex consumer demands, and tight margins, the top convenience store and foodservice operators continue to excel and improve their profitability.

The key to driving profits, according to two respected convenience store industry experts, is a foodservice program focused on speed and convenience, supported by innovative technology that lifts revenue and enhances the customer experience. That includes kiosks, according to a news release.

During a CSP magazine cyberconference at 2 p.m., EST, Feb. 25, John Cunningham, director of store operations technology for Wawa, and Richard A. Meyer, president of the consulting firm Meyer & Associates, will discuss how foodservice programs with self-service technology enable convenience retailers to improve business performance.

The presentation will include compelling information on the benefits and results of Wawa's recent deployment of kiosks across all 550 of its stores for its foodservice program.

Participants are invited to join the free cyberconference by registering via radiantsystems.com, the release stated. The cyberconference is sponsored by Radiant Systems Inc., which has 10 years of experience installing self-service kiosks for convenience store and foodservice operators.

"Consumers have so many options for fuel, food, and retail goods," said Cunningham in the release. "But Wawa's customers have said that they visit our stores time and time again because of the quick service and the great food they receive. Self-service kiosks play a vital role in achieving customer satisfaction as well as positive business results through improved customer throughput, reduced costs, and enhanced product introductions."
