SPILIMBERGO, Italy -- Oblò Multimedia srl is introducing new features for its award-winning Zero Multimedia Kiosk.
High on the list of new features is wireless-transmission capability, enabling Zero to accept images from infrared- or Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as camera phones, according to a news release.
Image transfer is a simple matter of beaming images from the phone handset directly to the Zero kiosk, where they can be quickly processed and printed. Zero also reads files from all standard digital storage cards, including Compact Flash, Smart Media, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, MultiMedia, and xD cards, plus CDs and DVDs. Zero recognizes multiple file formats, including Photoshop, TIFF and JPEG.
According to the release, the Zero line is capable of creating multimedia programs from customers’ photos and videos. By combining customer’s digital photos with selections from Oblò’s fully licensed library of high-quality music, consumers are able to produce their own multimedia slideshows.
The kiosk has a 15-inch, capacitive touchscreen monitor, with an intuitive graphical interface that can be customized by the dealer to modify print sizes, prices, product descriptions, and retailer logo. The on-screen instructions, designed for easy navigation, are available in multiple languages. The built-in receipt printer can also be programmed to print the dealer’s logo, address, and phone number, plus special coupon promotions to encourage return business.
Depending on configuration, Zero multimedia kiosk is priced at less than $10,000.
In the United States, Zero kiosks are distributed and serviced by Santa Ana, Calif. -based AAA Imaging & Supplies.
