ATLANTA -- Delta Air Lines will extend its self-service kiosk network to Continental and Northwest codeshare customers, providing them with speed, convenience and control when they travel.
Continental and Northwest-ticketed customers originating their travel on Delta-operated flights will be able to use Delta's 846 kiosks, the most of any airline, to check in, according to a news release.
Customers who hold an interline electronic ticket originating on Delta-operated flights but connecting to other airline flights can now check in using Delta's self-service kiosks.
Previously these passengers had to visit an agent to check in. This includes both Continental and Northwest codeshare customers as well as customers connecting to any of Delta's other interline ticketing partners.
In addition, Delta-ticketed customers traveling on Continental- and Northwest-operated originating flights may use Continental's and Northwest's convenient kiosks to check in.
Delta's interline and codeshare customers will now be able to use kiosks to check their bags to their final destination and, in most cases, receive boarding passes for all flight segments upon check-in. If boarding passes for connecting flights are not available at check-in, kiosks now will be programmed to print a document to advise customers to check in with the operating carrier when connecting.
