NRF: Microsoft displays shelf-edge, touch-screen solution

Retailers took in a plethora of technologies designed to allow them to better connect with customers last week at the National Retail Federation's Big Show in New York City.

Brendan O'Meara, manager of retail product management for Microsoft Business Solutions, demonstrated several examples created by the company, including a touch-screen solution that allows customers to locate products, check prices, obtain product information and read reviews at the shelf's edge.
