Rite on the Button, a company that provides customized electronic concierge solutions, will soon install interactive touch-screen kiosks around Ventura, Calif. According to VCStar.com, the kiosks will help visitors find information about entertainment, restaurants and events.
The company is currently working with Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach Hotel, Embassy Suites, Ventura Amtrak rail station, Ventura Harbor and the Ventura Visitors and Convention Bureau to deploy the machines within the next few weeks.
Herb Morris, president and CEO of Rite on the Button, said the kiosks will also be equipped with Wi-Fi, and the company is developing applications for smartphones to allow visitors to access information using their hand-held devices.
"The main thing to guests is to get something more specific to our area, like what wineries are nearby and how to get there," said Gary Kohler, director of sales and marketing for Crowne Plaza. “It starts off with the basic premise of a visitor's service introduction to Ventura and from there anything that piques the interest can be put forward."
