Phone-charging kiosks designed specifically with events and conferences in mind have been granted patent-pending status by the U.S. Office of Patents and Trademarks.
According to goCharge, the company behind the technology, its Mobile Device Charging System incorporates the fastest and most reliable charging speed available and is being incorporated into its new line of USA-made kiosks.
"This is really exciting. We have been working on this fast charging technology since early 2009, and we are very pleased to introduce it to the Conference & Events market," said goCharge CEO David Walke, in a press release. "This new technology charges any handheld device at the fastest speed possible."
The company's kiosks have been featured at more than 100 events over the past year, including The National Space Symposium, WSWA Annual Convention, ARF Annual Convention, South by Southwest, The ABA National Conference, International CES, National Association of Realtors and IEG.
