According to gaming website Gamasutra, video game developer EA Sports will feature playable game demo kiosks in its new chain of retail stores designed to market the company's titles and related merchandise.

The first shop is expected to open this fall in North Carolina at the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, with three stores opening within the next year.

"As pervasive as digital is, there's still an offline component to acquiring new customers that remains important," said Chris Erb, vice president of brand marketing at EA Sports.
