Portlogic Systems, a mobile and Internet software developer and kiosk solutions provider, has integrated Clip Mobile's mobile couponing technology within its Proximity Mobile Marketing Network.
Portlogic's network utilizes outdoor advertising technology, broadcast kiosk stations and mobile application publishers to provide consumers with proximity-based information and advertising, according to a company press release. The Clip Mobile uses its proprietary location-based mobile coupons application supported across the iPhone, iPod Touch, BlackBerry, and Android platforms.
Industry observers predict mobile marketing will continue to grow and become a more standard aspect of mobile phone use in the years to come. For example, 29 percent of mobile users are open to scanning tags to get coupons, according to a report from the Mobile Marketing Association. Also, eMarketer predicts a 14-percent increase in redemption of mobile coupons, and a 65-percent growth in mobile ad revenue in 2012.
