- Targets younger demographic which leans toward technology
The barriers for institutions to implement are as follows:
- large upfront costs
- technology maintenence costs
- digital content creation and updating costs
- general unfamiliarity with technology and process
- hardware upkeep
- lack of consumer know-how
With this said, consumers will become more familiar, more kiosk and digital aware and friendly to these types of experiences which will continue to spur growth in the U.S. and abroad. As China, India and other developing markets ramp up at retail, these experiences will be the "norm" from the beginning assuming the financial freedom is present.
