The Government Service Insurance System in the Philippines has partnered with Globe Telecom for a nationwide rollout of more than 1,000 automated kiosks to help 1.7 million public workers and pensioners transact payments, apply for loans, and update and check personal records.

The government is using Globe's GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System kiosks, which provide a secure system for remote, paperless transactions, according to mb.com.ph. Each kiosk is equipped with RFID recognition and biometrics capabiliities and is served by a virtual private network.
