The Illinois-based manufacturer Coin Mechanisms Inc. announced the availability of the Merkur Dispenser 100 Plus Bill Recycler.
The Merkur Dispenser 100 Plus from Merkur International is a solution for banknote recycling technology in automated payment systems such as bill-payment kiosks and self-checkout systems. More than 80,000 units have been manufactured, the announcement said.
Features of the device include the ability to accept six different banknote denominations and the capacity to store 34 of each type. The recycler is able to validate banknotes in each direction, both on payment-in and payment-out, and communication between the acceptor, cashbox and dispenser is encrypted to protect against manipulation attempts. For added security, a locking device is included to prevent unauthorized removal of the dispenser.
