Customer Engagement Technology World starts Wednesday in San Francisco and promises to be a source of educational opportunities on social media, self-service and mobile solutions and digital signage deployments as well as a platform for new product demonstrations.
Below are just some of the solutions CETW attendees will see this week at the Moscone West Convention Center:
Frank Mayer & Associates: Booth 300
Featuring interactive kiosk solutions for Microsoft, Skechers and Transitions, Frank Mayer will demo its retail-ready products including the Tablet PC display, SlideBuy and its latest, the KEO mobile charging kiosk.
PFU: Booth 311
PFU will showcase the Digiboo movie kiosks that allow consumers to rent DVD-quality movies by plugging in a small, portable USB 3.0 flash drive, or other faste- generation memory devices, into kiosks at high-traffic locations.
PFU's kiosk division has developed the custom solution to be deployed across an estimated 7,000 locations over the next three years.
Trilibis Mobile: Booth 313
Trilibis, a provider of HTML5 mobile solutions to brands, agencies and media companies, is inviting CETW attendees to submit their mobile sites for review at the Trilibis booth. The team will evaluate the mobile site's user experience based on 60-plus parameters and provide a free individualized consultation highlighting practical areas for improvement to better engage mobile audience and maximize success.
NEC: Booth 400
NEC Display Solutions will be showcasing its 55-inch video wall screens, the X551UN next-generation ultra-narrow displays, at the show. These professional-grade large-screen displays are designed for the 24/7 operation required in a variety of digital signage, corporate and broadcast video wall applications, according to a company release.
KioWare: Booth 415
KioWare will unveil its Android kiosk mode software, KioWare Lite for Android, which secures and locks down the OS and browser for mobile devices, such as tablets. It will also show KioWare Full with Server for Android, which allows a deployer to remotely monitor the health and status of its mobile devices from a central server.
Peripheral Dynamics: Booth 417
Peripheral will showcase several hardware products, including its PageScan IV Color document scanner, UltraScan small 3.25–inch document scanner with 300 dpi, Color ID Card Printer now available in a kiosk or tabletop versions and its High speed paper Ticket Printer.
CTS is showcasing a pink model of its patient check-in kiosk in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness at the show. Every sale includes a $250 donation to breast cancer research or to organizations that provide free breast cancer screenings, said Sandy Nix, president of the kiosk manufacturing company.
Nanonation: Booth 500
At CETW, Nanonation will introduce its new Immersion software platform to deliver more opportunities to create, deploy, and measure a multitude of in-store customer experiences. From digital signage to interactive screens to mobile solutions, Immersion provides intelligent experiences where and when customers need them, according to the company.
Olea: Booth 509
Olea Kiosks will unveil its latest kiosk designed for retailers looking to deploy a machine with a small footprint. The new unit, constructed of 16-gauge steel, powder coat paint, houses a 19-inch LCD touchscreen and has the options for an 80mm receipt printer and/or a keyboard and trackball. It comes with security locks, a high-volume cooling fan, internal power strip and is ADA compliant.
Four of the kiosks will be at the front of the CETW show entrance allowing attendees use them for registration. One will also be at the Olea booth.
NCR: Booth 515
NCR will host a digital signage demonstration in conjunction with Screen Reach that enables consumers to interact with a digital signage via their mobile phones by scanning a code to receive a list of offers. Additionally, NCR will show wayfinding, endless Aisle, igital menu boards, and the NCR Netkey Manager, which is the server based component which controls both digital signage and kiosks.
Posiflex: Booth 525
Posiflex is featuring six kiosk designs, running applications such as wayfinding, ticketing, gaming and patient care on the latest touchscreen terminals. One model is the KS7715, equipped with patented fan-free technology and Intel Corei3/i5 Series processors.
Key Innovations: Booth 610
Key Innovations' new KiSC9000 will be on display and allows for any size LCD or touchscreen to be used during the payment process, eliminating the cost and space issues associated with multiple displays,according to the release. The KSD6000 is a small footprint payment terminal with a 3.5-inch full color LCD and menu navigation keys.
Innovative Office Products: Booth 618
The rapid adoption of tablets in self-service applications requires secure mounting technologies which contribute to the store aesthetic, according to Innovative. The company is debuting its secure mount for iPads and tablets at the show.
Fujitsu: Booth 624
Fujitsu will preview its Flexible Module Printer that combines a high-speed thermal printer mechanism, cutter and interface board with an adjustable chassis that accommodates either vertical or horizontal positioning as well as various paper roll sizes, according to the company.
Pertech Resources: Booth 628
Pertech Resources will demo several hardware and software options that use its 6100K kiosk check and ID scanner.
CRS: Booth 629
CRS will launch two new two-sided thermal printers during CETW. The BK-T680 is an 80mm 2ST modular printer suited for embedded applications, while the BTP-R990 is a packaged 80mm 2ST printer intended for stand-alone POS, ticketing, couponing and transaction use.
Mythology Tech Express: Booth 715
MTE is launching, Castor, its miniature, low-cost photo kiosk, designed for settings with limited space, according to the company. Castor uses snapFoto photo kiosk software that supports multi-language, photo edit, ID photo and provides a photo store package that also includes DNP Dye-sub photo printer and media.
Nippon Primex: Booth 719
Nippon Primex, a provider of thermal mini printers in the global industrial peripheral equipment, is announcing a new product release of CLOUD supporting thermal printer at this week.
Touch Revolution: Booth 518
Touch Revolution, a provider of projected capacitive (P-Cap) multitouch display solutions, will be showcasing its Fusion Touch Display, with a demo of Fusion pre-integrated projected capacitive multi-touch subsystems used as a drop-in component to help quickly deliver a high-quality touch interfaceFusion touch display's integrated multi-touch controller system. The company also will be featuring its TR? 32-inch 10-touch multitouch monitor and its NIMble embedded touch computers.
