3M Touch Systems, a subsidiary of 3M Company, announced the availability of its multitouch display that the company said is designed specifically for interactive public applications.

The 21.5-inch 3M Multi-Touch Display C2167PW comes with a commercial-grade chassis display in an all-metal housing and an anti-glare touchscreen finish to help ensure image quality in public lighting environments, the announcement said.

The C2167PW chassis display's design enables both landscape and portrait installations in walls, kiosks, tablets and other housing fixtures. It also features plug-and-play versatility through its compatibility with Windows 8 and other programming languages, according to the announcement.

"The C2167PW chassis display is an important addition to 3M's multitouch display offering," said Diego Romeu, global business unit manager for 3M Electronic Business Solutions. "This new display helps satisfy our customers' need for a commercial-grade, high-performance multitouch display solution with a stylish flat front surface look and full-HD resolution."
