Kiosk to help visit the dead

March 2, 2012

According to The Gothenburg (Neb.) Times, the city is about to equip a local cemetery with a touchscreen information kiosk that will also print out maps of graveside locations.

The Gothenburg City Council members approved $10,000 for the cemetery kiosk, and another $10,000 in next year's budget.

A cemetery board member said the public would have access to the kiosk 24 hours a day, and the Gothenburg city administrator said families of the deceased could put pictures or obituaries on the kiosk for a fee, potentially turning the kiosk into a source of revenue for the city.
