Near-field wireless tech for kiosks, mobile to exhibit at MWC

The TransferJet Consortium announced it will be exhibiting at Mobile World Congress 2013 held at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. TransferJet is a close-proximity wireless transfer technology that the company said is "more than 1,000 times faster" than NFC.

At the event, TransferJet Consortium members will demonstrate new accessory products that enable smartphones, tablets and kiosks to exchange data using TransferJet. Other highlights will include new accessory products and prototypes, such as USB adapters, SD and SDIO cards from Sony and Toshiba, which can be attached to commercial smartphones and tablets.
