When a landmark cathedral wanted to make it easier for visitors to support its mission, ID TECH was ready to help.
In its role as the nation’s house of worship, the Washington National Cathedral welcomes nearly 700,000 visitors each year. Despite its prominent role in the country’s history, however, the cathedral receives no federal funding.
Because of an overall trend among the citizenry away from carrying cash toward carrying debit and credit cards, leadership considered ways to make it more convenient for those who felt led to support the cathedral’s mission.
Knoxville, Md.-based Beyond Kiosks developed a giving kiosk that incorporated such features as a wood and faux cast-iron enclosure, a silent receipt printer and a card reader supplied by ID TECH.
