Following an evaluation of Crest’s front-end operations, RDS recommended the industry-leading NCR SelfServ Checkout. Crest agreed to a one-store pilot deployment of four units with an attendant station and, several months later, set an aggressive rollout schedule for all of their stores. In one smaller location, the store manager opted for only two units, but after just a few days requested two more; self-checkout usage at that store has consistently been among the highest in the chain.
